The Chronicles of Young Writers’ Hub

our story

Young Writers' Hub blossomed from a daydream.

I am a firm believer in rational manifestation. Many of my achievements came from 25% imagining, perfecting and believing in them.

Something I tell my friends and family quite a lot is that we create the lives we live. It is up to us to build a solid structure, develop a functional system and add personal touches.

At one point in my life, I decided writing a book would be the coolest thing ever. Before even finishing it, I had made a list of people to thank and send PR packages to. I would ask my classmates for character names under the pretext that they were for an English assignment and write about my relatives as fictional characters.

I am genuinely fond of that time and am proud of who I was and who I've become.

I am part of the lucky ones, the kids who grew up with possibilities and resources. Along the route, my English tutor, Talida, was my pillar of support. She was (and still is) my go-to person for reassurance, advice, feedback and a good laugh when writing.

I had help & support, but I met so many young writers who needed this kind of stability. I like to believe I'm a pretty good teacher to my peers, and a hobby of mine is planning for the future. Combine those with writing and get Young Writers' Hub: the ideal place for teenage writers to get published (and no, it's not a publishing house).

What started this heart-warming fire was the call for Shark Tank's (Imperiul Leilor) casting. Two days before my audition, I received an email from Carmen, my teacher at Ken Academy, requesting a business proposal for a spot at casting. I was on a Zoom meeting, though I wanted to send her something, so I did a 30-second brainstorm and came up with a pleasing PowerPoint presentation that I instantly emailed.

The next day they called me to audition, fast-forward a couple of months, and I was standing in front of the investors requesting funding for my long-term daydream.

Moral of the story: those Disney quotes are true-to-life.
